Every year, the Environmental
Working Group releases the Dirty Dozen, a list of
conventionally-grown fruits and vegetables with the highest levels
of pesticide residues. And every year, this list generates
unnecessary consumer concern.
In this episode, I’m
joined by Tamika Sims, Ph.D., the Senior Director of Food
Technology Communications for the International Food Information
Council. We talk about the difference between organic and
conventional farming, natural and synthetic pesticides, and how
consumers shouldn’t be worried about the Dirty Dozen.
