I’m not very fond of social
media for a number of reasons—but in this episode, we’re going to
explore one of its more dangerous elements - its possible
relationship to eating disorders.
I am thrilled to be
joined by one of my oldest and dearest friends, Dr. Melissa
Freizinger. Dr. Freizinger is the Associate Director of the Eating
Disorder Program in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult
Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Children’s
Hospital.
We chat about who is
most susceptible to developing a negative body image from social
media, what platforms have the biggest impact, and honestly, how it
may affect each and every one of us in different ways.
